InkRoom MCP Server: Claude & Cursor images
InkRoom MCP connects an AI assistant to ecommerce image generation and reference editing. Preview the credit estimate, execute within account authorization, and retrieve batch results with the original receipt.
Map each image task to its tool, inputs and delivery checks
| Production task | Tool and required input | Parameters or execution limits | Check before delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product scene from text | generate_image: prompt; optional model, size, quality, count | count is 1–16; supported dimensions and tiers come from the catalog and quote | Composition, actual pixels and original encoding |
| Reference-led detail or background edit | derive_image: instructions plus referenceImages or parentTaskId | A multi-image parent needs parentImageIndex; this is reference editing, not a dedicated mask cutout API | Product proportions, label text, untouched areas and alpha when required |
| SKU and placement variants | batch_generate: preview all items together; use count for identical settings | Review the whole estimate; the server fills available concurrency slots | Match SKU and placement by task ID; retain successful results |
| Product enlargement or anime cleanup | upscale_image: one image and an operation | x2, x4, anime or face; inspect processingOperations for availability | Material texture and edges; facial identity after restoration |
| Resume interrupted delivery | wait_images: reuse nextAction.arguments from the receipt | Keep the original requestId or batchId; failed downloads do not justify a new preview | Display ready results, then verify that saved originals open |
From a client connection to your first image quote
- Sign in to MCP Server, review MCP access, and create or select your personal Token with the required generation, model and batch Scopes.
- Connect to https://mcp.inkroom.ai using the appropriate Claude Code or Cursor format and verify discovery. This setup step does not run paid generation.
- Preview the references, prompt, placements and quantity. Check the actual model and credit estimate, execute within saved authorization, and approve the specific order when requested.
Copyable MCP Server JSON configuration
The service uses Streamable HTTP with a Bearer MCP Token. These examples follow the two clients' documented structures. There is no prerequisite public API call or private replacement for an API Key.

}Claude Code uses type:http in a project's .mcp.json; Cursor uses url and headers in its mcp.json. Merge the inkroom entry into existing mcpServers and retain other connections. Replace the placeholder with your personal MCP Token and keep the personal configuration private. X-InkRoom-Continuation enables the existing receipt flow; it belongs to MCP configuration, not public API requests.
This configuration requires a host supporting custom HTTP headers. Check compatibility for OAuth-only web connectors; it does not establish direct access from Claude on the web, Perplexity or every AI assistant.

Use derive_image with a source and instructions for detail or background cleanup. There is no dedicated remove_background Tool or mask field. Inspect real alpha for transparent PNG. upscale_image exposes x2/x4/anime/face as separate operations without a prompt or general model parameters; check availability with list_models first.
Where to obtain a MCP Token or API Key
For MCP: sign in, open MCP Server, choose Configuration, create or select a MCP Token, and copy the complete Token. For the API: sign in, open API management, create or select an API Key, and follow its documented authentication. The credentials are distinct; registration, copying an example or completing setup does not grant model access or raise spending limits.

Start with these three scene recipes
Opening a template only prefills the prompt. Add the required references, review estimated credits and confirm before generating.
Dropper bottle: replace only the tabletop setting
Reference requirements: One sharp, full product photograph with a readable label and bottle outline; use the original rather than a chat thumbnail.
Use the amber glass dropper bottle in the reference as the only product. Preserve its height, shoulders, dropper cap, original label text and logo placement. Replace only the setting with a light gray seamless studio background and a matte stone tabletop. Use a three-quarter front view, soft side lighting, realistic glass transmission and a natural contact shadow. Square composition, the complete bottle inside the frame, no extra text, props or second bottle. Keep unrequested product areas as close to the source as possible. Reject warped labels before publishing.Running shoes: a side-profile advertising sample
Reference requirements: One sharp side-profile original of the same shoe model, colorway and lacing. Review this single image first; change the placement description in separate MCP batch items for other views.
Create one side-profile advertising sample from the running-shoe reference. Show the complete side silhouette of one shoe on a pale beige matte floor and matching seamless background. Preserve the reference colorway, trademark, material texture, shape and stitching. Use soft side lighting and a subtle contact shadow. Landscape 4:3, toe pointing right, the entire shoe in frame, with upper-left space for later layout. Add no overlay text, price, collage or second shoe.Insulated cup: clean up a white-background listing
Reference requirements: One complete cup photograph with clear lid edges, readable branding and unclipped metal highlights.
Prepare the insulated cup in the reference for a white-background product listing. Remove the original setting and nearby props. Target a pure white RGB 255,255,255 background while retaining the lid, handle, brushed metal, product mark and real proportions. Keep the cup upright, centered and completely in frame, with crop margin on all sides. Add no new text, frame or watermark. Retain a subtle natural contact shadow. Do not imply that white is transparent; inspect the background pixels, edges and branding before publication.Pre-publication checklist
- Discover the required tools with a Token carrying the relevant Scopes; confirm that the selected model or processing operation is callable.
- Read the actual model, settings, quantity and estimated credits before execution; use saved authorization and approve the whole order when requested.
- Inspect every SKU, logo, glass or metal edge and preserved area; check white pixels or alpha separately for background-removal deliverables.
- Match results to the original receipt, verify saved originals and dimensions, and recover downloads without submitting another paid generation.
FAQ
Can Claude Code, Cursor and Claude on the web use the same configuration?
Use the separate Claude Code type:http and Cursor url/headers examples below. InkRoom uses Streamable HTTP with a personal Bearer MCP Token. Claude on the web, Perplexity and other hosts require support for a custom remote endpoint and secure Bearer headers. An OAuth-only connector cannot use this setup directly; a marketplace listing alone does not establish compatibility.
Which Tool removes backgrounds or edits a specific area? Is transparent PNG guaranteed?
derive_image accepts a source image plus editing or background-cleanup instructions, subject to the selected model. It is not a dedicated remove_background Tool and has no dedicated mask input. PNG does not imply transparency: inspect the original alpha channel and review labels, hair and glass edges when transparency is required.
Where do I get a MCP Token, and can I use an API Key instead?
Sign in, open MCP Server configuration, create or select your own MCP Token, then replace the Authorization: Bearer placeholder in your client. Obtain an API Key separately from API management for standard /v1 or /v1beta requests. The credentials are not interchangeable; MCP previews and receipts are not prerequisites for the public API.
